A win’s a win.

A little over a year ago, I begged, borrowed and stole to buy a cute turnback gelding from Texas who I went to try and immediately fell in love with.

Since then this horse and I accomplished more than I thought possible in such a short amount of time. Small feats to some, but huge wins for this green duo — ex: consistent forward motion. Transitions. Collection. Cow control. Precision.

Both of us are a little too laid back sometimes and overthink other times. We’re working on it.

Not that we’re plotting our world domination or anything, but looking back at where we started, I can’t believe I’m the same rider from before I started riding with Lanny Leach Horsemanship.

Thank you Lanny and Kathy for all your help and support and for providing me with confidence and pushing me to be better, not only for my horse but for myself. We will miss you this summer!

This said…whether it’s a progressive ride, a buckle, a ribbon, a goal reached — no matter what you compare it to, a win’s a win.
