I Have an Agricultural Communications Degree

I have an agricultural communications degree.

I have an agricultural communications degree and I capture behind-the-scenes content with my iPhone — everywhere from the Winner’s Circle to the warm-up pen.

I have an agricultural communications degree and I manage agvocacy, livestock marketing and equine social media accounts for a living.

I have an agricultural communications degree and I’ve interviewed @lasvegasnfr round winners and have gone live on big brand accounts sharing real-time action to the masses.

I have an agricultural communications degree and continue to advocate for the rural way of life using a set character limit.

I graduated loyal and true from @okstate with my degree in hand and little idea of what opportunities awaited. Since graduation, I’ve worked in-person, remotely and for myself. My backgrounding includes working at big agencies, small shops and even a startup.

Now, under my own brand name, I bring a suburban perspective to the farm-to-table tabletop and share rural stories online using social media best practices and digital marketing, thanks to said degree.

What initially attracted me to the ag comm option was the diversity in courses and abundance of applicable skills. There’s so much you can do.

Ag comm peeps — @ktschr0ck and I are taking to Clubhouse tomorrow morning at 9 AM MST to network and meet other ag communicators/professionals and share what you’re up to, even if it’s non ag-related. We’ll see how this one goes, we’d love to meet up again!

But, if you stumble upon this post and did in fact graduate with an agricultural communications degree, what are you doing now? The floor is yours. 🎤
