So you're in town for Spring Training

Welcome to Arizona!

You’ve put up your out of office, the forecast is clear and the activities are plenty. Here’s what you’ve got to try while you’re in town.

Eats

If you’re hungry for something…

  • #Healthy: Chop Shop

    • You feel like a new person when you leave. Okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but you do feel good. With an array of health-conscious items ranging from açaí bows to sandwiches, organic drinks and more, there’s something for everyone. It’s even Matt approved. Perk: there are multiple locations.

  • Authentic: TeePee

    • If you want the authentic Phoenix mexican food experience, look no further than TeePee. It’s been around since 1958 and the interior is mostly unchanged. The margaritas are delicious and the history is rich. Be sure to note all the famous faces displayed throughout the restaurant! My favorites? The Pomegranate Margarita and their chips and salsa.

  • With patio envy: Chelsea’s Kitchen

    • Arguably one the best kept secrets. Comfort food meets Southwestern soul, their menu is unforgettable. There hasn’t been anything I’ve ordered that I didn’t like.

FACT: Chelsea’s is owned by LGO Hospitality, which has an amazing selection of local restaurants. 10/10 would recommend any of them. We love the LGO experience so much, Matt and I had our engagement party at Buck & Rider!

Activities

So much to do, so little time… unless you extend your vacation.

  • Spring Training

    • Being a Kansas City girl, I’m biased to the Royals. But did you know there are 14 other teams in the Cactus League? The games are fun, relaxed, and family-friendly. But make sure you pack the SPF, the sun here is strong.

  • Hiking

  • Shopping

    • You can’t go wrong with Fashion Square, located within walking distance of Old Town Scottsdale. It has arguably the best Nordstrom (trust me, I’m picky). If you’re not a Nordstrom fan, there’s a host of other stores, great dining spots, and did I mention you can walk there (or Lime Bike ride) from Old Town?

    • Kierland and the Scottsdale Quarter are right across the street from each other and have something for everyone, including everything from the American Girl store to a two-story Nike.

Of course, there are many more things to see and do but these are musts for this time of year! Also I want to hear your feedback, what are your favorite Phoenix spots?

Happy travels!

XO,

C
